Black Eyed Children--Demonic? Alien? Myth?

Are Black Eyed Children just an urban legend or are they real? Some say the legend of these "children" goes back to the Native Americans, some say it was born during the early years of the Internet.  Are they demonic, vampires, or a form of human-alien hybrid?
